High Tuition

I decided to illustrate high tuition by using a cap and gown and textbooks and an empty wallet to show that students pretty mush have to be in the poor house to gain their degree. I thought it was quite clever!

Portraits

Split Face Pics

Well I had a lot of issues with the project mainly because my partner and I were never able to get together because she fell ill. So Adam was my victim and Kassi Gillete took pictures of me. I didn't like the whole situation and my fear of working in a group or partner was again reaffirmed.
I thought Kassi would just take pics for fun, but later than night she posted them on facebook, my face with absolutely no makeup...so I think this project was uncomfortable enough for me. Thanks Adam for being a good sport!

Wide Shot

I took all these photos on a 72mm lens and I like how they turned out. I like how the temple is such a big building but the wide lens captured its enormity as though it was a model. I played with the aperture and F-stops and I got a variety of looks. Some were too bright and some too dark, but it was a great shoot. I feel like I'm starting to figure this out.

Exioms Assignment

The two pictures illustrate a deep depth of field, the front objects are blurred and the focus is in the objects toward the back.

This is a pic of my awesome cup cakes showing a shallow depth of field. The plate of cupcakes is in focus but the dish of veggies in the back is outside the depth of field because its blurred.

This shot illustrates the slow shutter speed, the umbrella is in motion.

This a frozen shot of a biker going at full speed, I tried to get the spokes of the bike so I could illustrate that increased shutter speed. This makes it look like the bike was stationary
